HONORARY CHIEF NOMINATION PROCEDURES
PURPOSE: To Identify, nominate, and induct highly
deserving individuals who exemplify the “whole person” care of the enlisted
troops and traits of a CMSgt as an Honorary CMSgt.
NOMINATION PROCESS:
- Any CMSgt who is in good standing with the CAFB Chiefs’
Group may nominate a highly deserving individual who exemplifies the
“whole person” care of the enlisted troops and possesses the traits of a
CMSgt as an Honorary CMSgt. The
nominated individual cannot be a person who is eligible to obtain the rank
of CMSgt.
- The
nominating CMSgt must submit a written package
limited to no more than 2 typed written pages to include optional short
biography. The written package
shall justify why the individual deserves to be an Honorary CMSgt. Also, the nominating CMSgt
will provide to a Chiefs’ Group Executive Council member an electronic
copy of the nomination package so it may be e-mailed to members of the
CAFB Chiefs’ Group for review and consideration prior to voting.
- At the
next Chiefs’ Group meeting following the nomination a brief review of the
nomination and a secret ballot vote will be taken. The votes tallied by the President. The President will also immediately
announce and the Secretary will record the nomination results in the
official monthly meeting minutes.
- The
nominating CMSgt(s) for the Honorary CMSgt will chair and plan the
Honorary Chief Induction.
Subject nomination procedures were voted and approved at the
April 2001 Monthly CAFB Chiefs’ Group meeting.
